Meet Abby, a junior Accounting major from Talking Rock, Georgia. She came to LC because of our Business and Data Sciences department and to continue her softball career, but she has also discovered a passion for service. "Through the Accounting program, I have been able to volunteer for VITA, which is a program that provides free tax assistance to people within our community. I have also gotten to help the Servant Scholars with Our Daily Bread, the student-led weekly soup kitchen that feeds underserved people in the area, and participating in local clean-up efforts for people whose property was damaged by recent storms." Abby stays active on campus as a resident assistant, a tutor in the Panther Academic Center for Excellence (PACE), and a member of Kappa Delta and SMILE LC. After graduation, she plans to become a certified public accountant and work for an accounting firm. #LCCloseUp #ExperienceTransformation
